Travel Information

Ground transportation to Caliente Caribe from Puerto Plata (POP), Samana (AZS), Santiago (STI) and Santo Domingo (SDQ) is provided, unless otherwise specified.  PUNTA CANA airport (PUJ) IS NOT AN OPTION, it is an 8 hour drive, however there are in country flights available to fly to the airports that we do provide ground transportation from.  We do not include transfers under a 6 night stay or for special incentive rates, some groups, Vacation
Club Members, Exotic Members, RCI bookings, owners and all non
revenue trips..  Please contact our reservations department for further information.

Direct service to Puerto Plata is available from most European countries, several U.S. and Canadian cities and San Juan Puerto Rico.  Contact us or your travel agent for flight information and further details.

Travel Documents, Fees and Taxes

United States and Canadian citizens will be admitted to the Dominican Republic with a valid Passport or an embossed birth certificate plus one other form of picture identification such as a drivers license.

A visa is not required before arrival. Citizens of other countries should contact their local Dominican Consulate for specific entry requirements. Visitors must purchase a Tourist Card in the amount of $10.00 US per person before clearing immigration.

Airport Arrival

On arrival at the airport, visitors will clear immigration, claim luggage, clear customs and exit the terminal.  At the exit from customs is the taxi and hotel shuttle area.  A Caliente Caribe representative will be holding a sign and will be expecting you (if we have your travel plans).
